Brown Creeper
A small, elusive bird creeping up a tree’s shadow! Really tested me and my setup getting this shot!
Black-throated Blue Warbler
I’m starting to realize just how many warblers are “X featured Y Warbler”. Glad it’s descriptive, at least!
Black-capped Chickadee
Look! At! This! Lad! What poise, what a pose, how dashing! This bird deserves to be famous!
Great-crested Flycatcher
They call this bird a flycatcher, but I only saw it relaxing on a branch!
Common Yellowthroat
Another tiny warbler spotted! And once again it has its family in tow!
Yellow Warbler
A single marginally-better-than-cryptid-quality photo of a very distinct little bird!
Black-throated Green Warbler
So many photos of a parent warbler feeding its child!
… though is it really a green warbler? Looks more yellow to me.
Blue-headed Vireo
A tiny bird with a very cute face! More of a gray-headed vireo, but we’ll let it have blue since it looks so polite.
Hermit Thrush
This little hermit kept close to the forest trail! Equal parts cautious and curious, it was tough to get a decent photo.
Common Grackle
Iridescent and magnetically sensitive! What incredible talents on this bird!
Red-billed Leiothrix
A bolt of red and yellow dashing throw the reeds! I had never even heard of this bird before spotting it but wow! It’s so striking!
