Welcome to the Liminal Branch Library!

About The Librarian

Hello! I'm Mordio Crow, the Archivist and Librarian of this place. My role is to collect and examine stories, and share them with the library’s guests—with people like you! It doesn’t matter if these tales are real or fiction. So long as they offer us opportunity for reflection, growth, or even simple entertainment, The Archive stores and shares them all the same!

I specialize in Tabletop RPGs, Video Games, and Wildlife Photography (mainly birds). If you find these subjects interesting or are interested in the other things I do, check out all my links at mordiocrow.ink!

I’m usually on the mellow side and have a tendency to overthink things—and I often come off as a little too verbose, especially in text! I have an affection for puns, wordplay, and long strings of rhyming phrases that have definitely never bothered the other people in the conversation.

You can refer to me by my first name or surname, and I accept the pronounce he/him, she/her, and they/them, use whichever you prefer. Nickname proposals are open, but I reserve the right to reject them.

You can also check out a short lore video about me and the library here by clicking this link!

About The Fallen Star

In addition to its archivist/librarian, the library does have one other inhabitant, though they’re more of a “roommate” than fellow employee.

Nova Minokawa quite literally crashed into the roof of the LBL and, having been accepted by the library itself, was invited to remain and lend their experiences and abilities to The Library’s collection. Pronoun wise, Nova is They/them = she/her.

Nova is a self-taught artist who dabbles in illustration, animation, and design. They frequently enjoy drawing original characters and fandoms alike, and their work has brought to life many of the TTRPG characters from the campaigns that we’ve been in together.

She enjoys playing in roleplaying games and games that are cute and can make her laugh.

About The Liminal Branch Library

At the border of dream and reality, in the violet glow of a dying star, is a great lake of deepest silence. In it is an island where gentle waves of ink-like darkness lap at its shores. On that island is The Liminal Branch Library. Its facade a confused medley of the ancient, modern, and yet-unseen. It collects stories, treating fact and fiction both with dignity. Scraps of poetry fall on it like snow, and new tales wash ashore like driftwood.

It’s name is a bit of a mouthful, yes, and you’ll often see it referred to as simply The Library, The Archive, or The LBL.

About The Archive’s Collection

Here at the Liminal Branch Library we collect all sorts of stories! If you want to see us experience them live, check out our twitch account, and if you’re interested in seeing vods, shorts, or other edited videos, visit our youtube!

But perhaps you’re interested in more specific recommendations? Well, if Tabletop RPGs are something of interest to you, I’m a GM of many different campaigns and systems! While most of these have not been streamed, some have! Check out our TTRPG playlist for special events, oneshots, and edited videos. Our first streamed campaign, Root - Severance Payback using the TTRPG by Magpie Games based on the board game of the same name has its own playlist as well!

Of course, we also have a wide collection of video game playthroughs, sometimes with just me, sometimes with just Nova, and sometimes together! Our youtube playlists will always be the most up-to-date collection of them, but if you like high quality Indie games, check out Nova’s In Stars and Time and/or Vampire Therapist playthroughs! Sonic fan? I got you covered. Elden Ring? Duo FFXIV with me and Nova? And while Nova does livestream art it’s rarely archived, some special events are, like this 2024 Year-of-Art Review with a bunch of special guests!

Regardless of your interest, we invite you to take a look around! Pick a vod series for a game you like or want to watch and see if you enjoy watching us go through it! Or stop by when we’re live and chat and hang out!
