Black-capped Chickadee

The close cousin of the Carolina Chickadee, the Black-capped chickadee! Now, you might be asking yourself, do Carolina Chickadees not have the black cap on their head then? No. They do. Bird names, man. I don’t know.

Anyway! There were a lot of good photos in this set! The first ones, really close up, were of a friendly chickadee that I like to think posed for photos because he was grateful my group fixed a local bird feeder. He was hanging out very close to me in a shrub which allowed me to get all of those detail shots with different poses! Fantastic!

Similarly, the chickadees in the area were often foraging, allowing me to capture all sorts of fun poses or action shots! I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them!
