Blue-headed Vireo

An adorable little bird encountered at a park! I love the palette here. The blue-grey head that morphs to yellow sides is nice. It’s also fun how the white belly continues up the chin and then loops up and around the eyes! There’s some little stripes on the wings too, very nice.

Like many little birds encountered in the forest, these photos took a bit of a chase to actually get, but I’m pretty happy with them! The first two have fun lighting! If I had a bit more on the bird itself, they’d be excellent! I like the green leaves above and the brown leaves below, it creates a fun color framing!

The penultimate image is one from during the chase where it was hiding in a tree! The bird is so cute peeking out from under a leaf like that!

The very last image is a more recent one from Acadia National Park! What a shaped bird!
