Say’s Phoebe
Taken on two separate days in Grand Canyon village, I spotted what I believe is this same bird many times over my stay! It would often hang out near the lodges and grab insects out of the air! How deft! Some of these in-flight shots came out pretty sharp and I’m quite happy with them! I feel like hanging out with this bird was where those skills were finally starting to show some improvement.
This one may be an Ash-throated Flycatcher, which I’ll be uploading soon as well. I’m leaning towards the Phoebe, as I don’t see a pronounced crest, but honestly these two birds are closely related and very similar looking, so I may be mistaken on some of these.
