Ruddy Turnstone

A particularly vibrant cousin of sandpipers! I really like the patterns on these guys! They’re a little bit larger than most of the other “scuttling” shorebirds, and coupled with the slightly-more-saturated coloring they have which gives them their name, really makes them pop out! Big fan of these guys, and now I feel like I can confidently pick them out from a mixed flock! You likely can too! The second and third images have a bunch of sanderlings alongside the Turnstones. Just look how distinct they are!
