Red-Tailed Hawk

Warning! The last two images in this gallery have a dead squirrel!

I’ve seen Red-tailed Hawks often, usually alone but once I did see two together as it looked (to my unprofessional eyes) like a parent teaching its child to hunt! The first two and last two images are all the same bird and, if I’m correct, the young hawk! It seemed rather hesitant to dig into that squirrel though.

The other two were taken in different locations but they show off the distinct red tail a bit better!
