Turkey Vulture

This bird's distinctive flight silhouette makes it easy (ish. I still sometimes get it wrong being a bit of a novice) to spot it in flight while it’s high in the sky above! But such distant birds often don’t make good photography subjects. Luckily I saw one sitting on a broken tree. I just had to wait for it to peek over its shoulder to get this shot! The distance was still a little high and I bet I could get a clearer picture in this situation after all the practice I’ve had since then, but it’s a solid enough shot for IDing!
