Red Land Crab
I’m sure the dark hat helps with camouflage, but seeing a bright colored crab “hidden” in some branches is a little funny. They look like they’re trying to hide but… crab creature, you are so vibrantly colored I can see you across the beach!
I’m not 100% on this ID, but the Red Land Crab is common in the region and it looks like it has the right colors, though there seems to be significant variation within the species and I’m no expert so I can’t say for sure.
