Red-breasted Nuthatch

This small bird really tested my skills at the time! I like to think I’d do better capturing it now, but alas these are all I have from that trip. We have some steeped in shadow, some through a window, and one of him diving right out of frame!

I also have a bunch of photos of just his back as he faces away from me. Or rather, I did. I deleted most as they were even lower quality than what I’ve already posted. It’s like he was messing with me!
