Red-billed Leiothrix

This little guy was such a cool spot! At Onshi-Hakone park, we spotted quite a few small birds darting too and fro among the reeds! This little guy was among them!

Honestly, most of the pictures from this path with the reeds didn’t come out too well, regardless of subject. But this one’s a pretty clear one? This little guy darted out to this one fallen read, glanced back at me, then vanished back into them!

Their vibrant colors on their face and wing are so cool! I would’ve loved to see more of them, but I’ll settle for this clear shot! It was a very exciting find!
