European Starling

The iridescent sheen of this staring is really neat! I typically see them when I’m out commuting or running errands, but I rarely have my camera then so I only have a few photos of them!

They often fly in large numbers and sometimes swarm from one open patch of grass to another to forage.

The fourth photo is a juvenile starling! Not pictured is the parent which was feeding it only seconds before! Unfortunately, I wasn’t on a hike when I saw it and my camera was away, so by the time I got it out the parent went off to forage! The young one waited a little but must have gotten impatient and flew off to follow shortly after.
