American Oystercatcher

A pair of resting oystercatchers, hanging out on the beach on a chilly day! I didn’t get particularly close to them, but it was an empty beach and they were definitely watching me, so I didn’t want to disturb them by getting closer. I love their vibrant eyes and beaks, it makes it very easy to ID them! I would’ve loved to see some hunting down by the shore, but only saw these two sleeping ones, so I’ll take what I can get!
