Song Sparrow

Though they do somewhat resemble their House Sparrow cousins, Song Sparrows are possessed of a much more melodic singing voice, splotchy belly, and distinct hat!

The first photo is a Song Sparrow who was singing loudly from his perch! He was really calling out for all the coast to hear!

The penultimate photo is one of the very first bird pictures I took! He was foraging on a summer's day while I sat only a few meters away out in the open! A brave lad, to be sure, though he did eventually notice me and hurled himself from the yard, pictured in the very last photo.
