Monitor Lizard

We saw quite a few of these in Singapore! We were warned about their venom! Did you know that their bites can have neurotoxins and anticoagulants? Of course, I try to keep away from wildlife as a general rule! If I’m close enough for it to bite me, I’m close enough that I’m disturbing it and I don’t want that. That’s what the long lenses are for!

We got to see them in a variety of places, from moving through the wetlands, tucked into tree roots, and even in the middle of a path!
