Masked Bunting

Another bunting, this one first encountered in Yoyogi park! Unfortunately, at the time I was engaged in a duel with a long-tailed tit trying to get a picture and so I didn’t devote as much time to this little guy as he deserved. Especially because of how polite he looks! At least I snapped this one photo before he got tired of watching me spin after another bird and flew off!

The second picture was in Hakone, but the low light and distance combine into a less-than-stellar photo.
