Green-winged Teal

These photos are in the order they are to show the teal bit of color on the wing of that first… teal! The second one has a little patch starting to come in on their head that I think will be teal… probably?

Did you know the color teal was named after the bird rather than the other way around? At least, that’s what wikipedia tells me.
