Eastern Chipmunk

I often see these little creatures darting about in the tall grass, not unlike pokemon! However, I think they’re rather unlikely to jump out and attack you. They’re squirrels, you know! Particularly small ones, yes, but people often give chipmunks a cuteness pass, unlike their larger cousins.

I got some rather close up pictures in Acadia of chipmunks! I still like my old photos for their character, but the new ones are just so much crisper and more detailed that I have to repost this creature to highlight that! When I have new photos like these it really makes me feel like I’m getting better at photography.
