Red-shouldered Hawk

A quick break from the shore for a species I photographed earlier in the year, a Red-shouldered Hawk! This guy was flying all around the fields I was walking through one day, frequently at the far side of the field going from one distant tree to another. I have a few of it in flight or tucked into trees so far away you’d struggle to pick out the bird itself! Luckily, the wandering was rewarded as we eventually crossed paths resulting in this pair of shots! Not award winners, but we have a clear view at least!
