Northern Cardinal

Visually striking birds who are hard to mistake for any other! No wonder it’s the state bird of too many US states. Though sometimes their molting… isn’t the most flattering. I don’t think they mind if I share the pictures though, do you?

I sometimes see one foraging on the ground alongside a handful of sparrows. I wonder how well they get along?
