Eurasian Collared Dove

I actually didn’t see too many of these, but I believe they’re rather common in the area I was out photographing. Named for the distinctive collar on their neck, they’re otherwise visibly similar to Mourning Doves.

I really like the second picture of the set. The first is nice and clear and don’t get me wrong, I like it. But the second has so much character! The nearer dove leaning in like it’s noticed me on the ground far below their perch! The way the one in the back is mid-blink like they’re starting to glare at me for photographing them! It has character.
