Common Tern

Unlike many shorebirds and gulls in flight which I struggle to identify, I’m reasonably certain of this one thanks to the distinct wing-shape! Terns dart about the shore with a speed and silhouette that makes them relatively distinct!

I’ve seen some really good pictures of nesting Terns, but for now I’ll just have to settle for this one in the air.
